EARLY CAREER SOCIAL WORKER MENTORING GROUP

Tuesday, February 15th: 8:30-9:30 p.m.

PURPOSE: Through mentoring and mutual support, create a space of safety and comfort where strength-based personal and professional learning take place.

STRUCTURE:

• Meet on the phone for 60 minutes every two weeks
• Format on the phone includes: beginning guided centering exercise, member check-in, strength-based approaches to member identified topics with particular attention to self-care.
• In person 2 hour meeting following 6 phone meetings (3 months)

Bonuses:

• Group website where members can communicate with each other: post information—job openings, other resources; ask questions and for other help, share triumphs, complain, etc.
• Special bonus group with invited guest, e.g., hiring from the employer’s side,preparing to start a private practice, others as identified by group members.
• One free 30 minute coaching session every 3 months

COST:  $20/group, payable monthly (by credit card if you wish) at the beginning of the month for the upcoming month. There will be a 20% discount for early payment.
